Magnesium Alloy AZ91D is the most widely used magnesium alloy grade. It features exceptionally lightweight, only 2/3 the weight of aluminum alloys, which is especially suitable for machining lightweight components. The material also has good casting properties and machinability. However, its corrosion resistance is average and typically requires surface treatment for protection.
