After graduating from university, our founder, Ivan, joined Bosch Group, a global leader in automotive parts. Working in manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen and Shanghai, China, Ivan acquired advanced manufacturing expertise and factory operations experience. During this time, Ivan deeply understood that even a strong brand like Bosch, faced with the crucial challenges of accelerating product R&D and innovation while ensuring timely and high-quality manufacturing, was often hampered by production efficiency constraints, particularly for non-standard parts. This was especially true for startups and entrepreneurs alike. The often-disappointed looks and sighs of frustration from product and purchasing managers are deeply etched in Ivan's memory.
After leaving Bosch, Ivan devoted himself to China's then-burgeoning internet sector. He became a well-known entrepreneur in Shenzhen, having founded and successfully sold a gaming and real estate internet company several years later. This experience, spanning both manufacturing and the internet, gave Ivan a deep understanding of the transformative impact of new technologies on traditional industries. It constantly fueled his focus on creating a "manufacturing + internet" production and supply chain management system to address the manufacturing pain points from product innovation to commercial success. This system, driven by a more responsive, faster-delivery, higher-quality, and more cost-effective manufacturing system, would drive innovation.
So, in 2010, in Shenzhen, known as the "Silicon Valley of Hardware," Ivan established his first CNC parts factory, incorporating lean processes and digital technologies. Clearly, his ambitions were greater than just another manufacturer. Over 15 years, Ivan and the XMAKE team have built an on-demand manufacturing service system that integrates multiple self-owned factories with diverse processes and over 500 collaborative factories. Through online manufacturing, integrating the internet with physical factories, we offer a one-stop solution for the rapidly evolving needs of product innovation, from prototyping to small batches and mass production, from around the world.
